Welcome to the newly renovated kitchen & master bathroom of our Co-Founder, Kath Hawkes. These spaces aren't just her dream kitchen and bathroom — they were the catalyst for a new collection.
With her heart set on rich textures and warmer tones, Kath used her Dubai home renovation to bring our Walnut Collection to life.
Designed by Mother Nature, the Walnut collection is crafted from real walnut veneer, offering an authentic finish that elevates everyday cabinetry. As a natural material, the veneer exhibits variances in colour and grain from door to door, adding to its natural beauty. The material is available in a basic slab door, as well as the popular Framed profile.
As always, Fronteriors kitchens are designed from the inside out — starting with IKEA’s accessible and durable cabinet frames. The beauty of the IKEA base? Accessible. Durable. Budget-friendly. But Kath wanted to really elevate the aesthetics.
In the open-plan kitchen and dining area, she combined Framed Walnut doors on the lower base cabinets with Basic Ivory doors on the upper and tall cabinets.
Fronteriors kitchen designs are not just about replacing IKEA doors with something more high-end, our custom options, like extended doors (to avoid fillers between frames and ceilings), ventilated toe-kicks and taller than standard single doors, give your kitchen that fully customised look. And whilst aesthetics are a central theme in our designs, we advocate for maximum functionality with integrated appliances at arm's reach but hidden from view.

Kath extended the use of kitchen cabinets to her master bathroom to create an eye-catching double vanity that boasts ample storage. IKEA's drawer storage organisers for cutlery are ideal for make-up and cosmetics too! And their deep drawers at foot level are perfect for laundry hampers that keep everything neatly concealed and out of sight.
Kath's home is a showcase for the smart use of IKEA cabinets to create bespoke, practical store that suits your unique requirements from the kitchen to hallway, wardrobes, bathrooms and many areas in between.
