ABOUT US
“It's not just an IKEA hack, it’s a next-level furniture upgrade with materials and quality that offer the same look and feel as bespoke cabinetry. But without the hefty price tag.”

WHAT WE DO
Founded in 2019 by two Dubai-based expats, Fronteriors is a self-assembly concept that makes doors and other components for IKEA cabinetry.
The concept of making custom fronts for IKEA furniture, or #ikeahacking, had existed widely across Europe and the US for a few years, but when Kath and Linda, both interior designers, were looking to use the concept in their own interior projects, no-one was shipping to the Middle East region.
They spotted a gap.
OUR VISION
They set out to offer a design aesthetic that's within most people's price reach.

THE BRAND
With the establishment of Fronteriors, the duo were resolute in their intention to introduce materials and finishes they'd not yet seen in this arena – more specifically the cane, linen textile and slatted doors which have become so popular for the brand.
With a made-to-order business model and their love and admiration for Scandinavian design, they place great emphasis on craftsmanship and quality - which applies to everything from the oak veneers and German quality MDF core to the paint grade and the calibre of the factories they work with.
LOOKING AHEAD
Fast forward a few years, in response to a growing client base, Fronteriors is now manufacturing in the Middle East, Europe and the US. The company will endeavour to continue appointing additional manufacturing partners where necessary.
The intention is to reduce the cost, transit time and carbon footprint between production facilities and customers. A small step in the path towards the global vision.
