In the heart of Prati, one of Rome’s most elegant neighborhoods, Karen Mordechai — founder of Sunday Suppers and Le Marke — has created a serene, light-filled home for her family.
The Roman apartment came without a kitchen, offering a rare blank slate for a full kitchen renovation. Karen envisioned a space that felt calm and welcoming, with a design that was timeless, practical, and beautifully functional. The result is a perfectly curated kitchen that blends classic materials with modern simplicity — ideal for a design-forward, culinary lifestyle.
For the foundation, Karen selected IKEA cabinet frames, a smart and reliable base for any kitchen remodel. To elevate the structure, she chose Fronteriors’ Framed fronts in Beige — a soft, warm neutral that brings balance and depth to the room. Paired with bold marble countertops and brass handles by Brandt Copenhagen, the kitchen feels both grounded and elevated, understated and refined.
Fronteriors had the perfect warm beige I was looking for, reasonable pricing and timeline, I couldn’t be happier with our choice. We achieved a full kitchen build-out in two months total and their team was just an absolute pleasure to work with.
